As a church looks into revival, we must remember that the initiator is God. If you want to see spiritual revival in your church, then you should be willing to dedicate time to prayers. Below are Bible verses and prayers to encourage those hungry to see revival in their local churches.
Psalm 139: 23-24 – Sanctification By the Blood of Christ
“Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.” NIV

Psalm 42: 1-5a – A Prayer for Revival of Our Souls

We need your divine healing and grace to become whole again in Jesus Christ, our Lord, and Savior. Thank you for Your faithfulness and for reminding us you are always at work on our behalf, drawing us even closer to You.

Isaiah 57: 15 – A Prayer for Revival of Heart and Spirit

Gracious Father, we come before you in humility. Empower us with Your grace and strength. We seek great awakening of Your presence in the life of everyone in this church, community, and world over.
We pray for Your helping hand to increase our faith as we proclaim Your precious name. May you silence our enemies’ plans in the name of Jesus. We pray that through the Spirit of God that dwells in us, we will be love and light in a world so desperately in need of hope.

Psalm 22: 27 – A Call to Turn to the Lord

Revelation 3: 20 – Dine with the Lord

Heavenly Father, thank you for the experiences You have granted us in this world. We pray that the suffering and pain we have experienced may not go to waste but instead turn it around into life lessons.
I believe that nothing is impossible with You. Your power that raised the dead and broke prison chains is able to redeem us even today. We take comfort in knowing that you will never depart from us.

Romans 1: 16 – A Call for Evangelism

Mighty God, we acknowledge that we tend to be lazy at times. As mortal men, it is easy to feel safe in salvation and neglect our call to spread Your gospel to the lost and needy. Please forgive us for this shortcoming.
Holy Ghost, bring us out of our comfort zone and turn our hearts to Your love. Help us to share your love and extend Your grace to others in our communities. Revive us, O Might One. As You work in us, also work through us for Your grand purpose for the universe.
Revive us, Lord, as only You can, and do it all for the glory of Your name. We pray that You will use this church to win over souls to genuine repentance and salvation by the blood of Jesus Christ. Increase our faith and trust in You, God. We pray and believe in the holy name of your son, Jesus Christ. Amen.
Conclusion
When we pray from revival, God hears and answers with love and grace. While expecting revival and restoration, be prepared to get busy in prayer. Ask God to allow you to get in on what only He can do. It is also important to know that, as Christians, we are called to evangelism. God expects us to share His good news with the world.
