Intro
If you are looking for a Christian film with Christian values for your whole family, then check out these Christian movies about love. In the summer my husband and I love to sit outside by the firepit on Friday evening as the work week comes to a close.
However, up here, our winter lasts from late October until the end of May. So, in those cold months, we like to cuddle on the couch and enjoy a movie together.
We have amazon prime and as Christians, it is hard to find a good romantic movie that is clean. So, finding a Christian love movie is the perfect way to watch a clean romantic movie. Here are some of my all-time favorite Christian romance films.
I Still Believe (2020)

This is the true story of Jeremy Camp. Jeremy falls in love at first sight with a young woman named Melissa and they start a relationship. Then comes a cancer diagnosis.
The question is, will their love outlast this painful period in their life? The bigger question is, will their love for God outlast them if the answer to their prayers is, no?
This is a movie about unconditional love. Not only between two people facing hardship but also between a young man and the God he serves. As Jeremy and Melissa worship Jesus Christ they must choose to love Jesus despite not getting all they pray for.
We watched this film as a family and my teenage daughters were crying throughout the movie. My daughter said it was the best Christian movie she has ever seen. I dare you to watch this movie without crying.
We watched this on a Friday night and then that Sunday in church the worship team sang a song by Jeremy Camp. Once you know the testimony of this young man, the songs will mean so much more to you. This is the most inspiring film on my list.
The Princess Cut

I was excited to see this movie because I like Ashley Bratcher as an actress. This is a story of love and answers the question, what is love? I have 4 teenage girls, well my oldest is now 20, so I guess I have an adult child now.
As my daughters grow, we talk more about marriage, love, and dating. I remind them dating is about finding the person who will make a good husband, and father to the children they will have one day.
This movie takes place in a small town and has a hallmark movie vibe. So, if you enjoy Hallmark movies you will enjoy this movie. This was not a movie I watched with my husband. He would have been bored by it; however, it is a movie my daughters enjoyed watching with me.
This is a very innocent movie about love, and if you want to give your daughters a movie to motivate them towards living a pure life, and finding a man to lead their family, this is a great movie for that.
You can feel comfortable watching this movie with young children, it is one of the family-friendly films I recommend.
The Song (2014)

This is a movie about the love between a husband and his wife. I have been married for 21 years, and the most romantic movie is one where a husband falls in love with his wife. In this story, a musician named Jed King is tempted to cheat on his wife who is played by April.
Jed is following his dream, and April is upset she is left home alone to care for their young son. Both Jed and April have lessons to learn about love, Christian faith, being a Godly woman, and being content with the life they have.
While this movie is a little stereotypical in the portal of both the wife and the mistress, the overall message is a good one. If you want to have a real love affair, you will find it with your wife.
Love Comes Softly

The Love comes softly books by Janette Oke were the first romance book I read as a young lady. When the movies came out, I was very excited. This story takes place in the 1800s as Canada is becoming a country.
Marty is played by Katherine Heigl, and very talented actress and the acting is great. The strong cast in this film is one of the reasons it is such a beautiful film.
In this movie, Marty and Aaron marry without love. Their marriage is one of convenience. But slowly as they take care of each other and meet each other’s needs they begin to fall in love.
As Marty takes care of Aaron’s little girl, she falls in love first with the girl who becomes her daughter and then she also learns to love Aaron. Mary, Aaron, and his young daughter show that love comes softly when you serve each other.
Nothing is Impossible

In this pure Flix original film Scott Beck, played by David A.R. White is a man who lost everything and is living a nightmare, but then suddenly he is faced with the opportunity to get the life he dreamed of.
Can he have the sport carrier he was destined to have and the girl he loves? Scott works at a high school and is impacted by the lives of high school students as he works as a janitor in the school. Scott wants a better life.
But the realization is that happiness is a choice. No matter what your life is like, you can always choose to be happy.
God Bless The Broken Road (2018)

When a young wife has suddenly left a widow and single mother, her world turns upside down. She loses her faith in God and watches as the life she built with her husband is taken away piece by piece. When a race car driver arrives in town a love story begins.
The greatest love story here is between Amber and God. God loves her, and God is good, even when life is not. In this story, we see the harsh realities of war, as a young man is killed leaving his family alone.
Now Amber is a young, widowed mother trying to put the pieces of her life back together. The women in her local church reach out to her and their love help to draw her out of her depression.
I watched this movie with my whole family. We are a foster family, and my foster children were touched by the message of not giving up on life when they faced a tragic event.
This is a movie not only about finding love again after a tragic event but also about loving people who are struggling and bringing them back to Christ.
Impossible (2013)

This is a love story about a family. The love of a husband and a wife, the love of a son, the love of brothers. And the love is tested in the worst possible way. This is a true story of a family vacationing in Thailand over Christmas break when the Tsunami hits.
This is a true story of a family that learns they do truly love each other and are willing to risk everything and lay down their own lives for their family members. The love of family and the willingness to sacrifice makes this a beautiful movie.
One of the reasons I loved this movie was the fact that we see the love of real people. At the start of the movie when the children are fighting, and the parents are frustrated, it is so very relatable. Then when they learn they may lose their family they realize how much they love them.
This is a very gritty movie that does not shy away from showing the horror of what people went through during the Tsunami. My youngest daughter who was only ten years old when we watched this was a little bit traumatized by some of the scenes.
Looking back, she was probably too young to watch it. It is not a kid-friendly movie. But it was made for the Box office and had the budget to make great special effects. Of all the movies on my list, this was the movie my husband enjoyed the best.
If you are looking for a good movie to watch with your husband this is the perfect movie. And you can stream it today, that is the beauty of Netflix.
Finding Normal

I love to watch Hallmark movies, especially during the holiday season. I discovered this movie when I was watching Hallmark movies. It was recommended to me by the algorithm in my streaming service.
Dr. Lisa Leland is played by Candace Cameron Bure, one of my favorite actresses. Honestly, movies with Candace Cameron Bure are the best family-friendly movies and I always love them.
In this story, Lisa is forced by a judge to complete 24 hours of community service. As she serves the community she finds a new life, one she never knew she would love. The judge is also the local pastor and the local doctor. Part of the small town atmosphere.
This is a movie that reminded me to enjoy the simple things in life and be thankful for the life I have.
