You can devote a lot of time to reading the Bible, praying, and attending church. The most critical part of being a Christian, however, is that you apply the Lord’s teaching in your daily life. Allow it to become a source of inspiration and guidance for you in whatever you do. So keep in mind these 10 Christian Motivations for Daily Living.
You have enough strength to do anything
Philippians 4:13 – I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
This verse is a great motivator because it reminds us that we have the strength of Christ to help us through anything we might face. When we are feeling down or discouraged, remembering this verse can give us the boost we need to keep going.
You have abundant support
2 Corinthians 9:8 – And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that always having all sufficiency in everything, you may have an abundance for every good deed.
We can sometimes get caught up in our own personal struggles and forget that God wants to help us and that He is always there for us. This verse reminds us that God is always willing to help us and that He wants us to do good deeds. Knowing this should inspire us to work hard and do good deeds.
What you give up is for God
Mark 8:35 – For whoever would save his life will lose it; but whoever loses his life for my sake and the gospel’s will save it.
This verse reminds us that we should be willing to sacrifice ourselves for Christ and His Gospel. We know from this verse that God wants us to do good deeds, but He also wants us to give up some of our comforts for Him. When we remember this, it isn’t such a difficult thing to give up a little bit of ourselves for Him.
We are loved unconditionally
1 John 4:19 – We love because he first loved us.
This verse tells us that we are loved because God first loved us. Knowing this should fill our hearts with love and compassion for others. It should also motivate us to share the good news of God’s love with others. When we think about how much we are loved by God, we shouldn’t have a problem sharing His unconditional love with everyone we meet.
You can do greater things than Jesus did
John 14:12 – Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father.
This verse is a great motivator because it reassures us that we have divine power from God to help us do good deeds for others. When we feel like our actions aren’t good enough or somehow don’t measure up, this verse can give us hope and encouragement. It assures us that we can do greater things than Jesus did, as long as we believe in Him.
We have the Holy Spirit to guide us
Romans 8:14 – For all who are led by the Spirit of God are children of God.
This verse reassures us that we have the Holy Spirit to guide and direct us. This is a great comfort, especially when we are feeling lost or confused. When we know that the Holy Spirit is with us, we can be confident that we are on the right track and doing what God wants us to do.
You are not alone
Hebrews 13:5 – Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”
This verse reassures us that we are not alone, even when we are feeling isolated or abandoned. It tells us that God is with us and that He will never leave us. This should give us peace and comfort during difficult times and should motivate us to trust that everything will work out for the best.
You have been forgiven
1 John 2:12 – I am writing to you, dear children, because your sins have been forgiven on account of his name.
This verse assures us that God has already forgiven our sins through Jesus Christ. Knowing this should give us comfort during troubled times and it should motivate us to do good deeds. If we are always thinking about how much God has forgiven us, then we shouldn’t have a problem forgiving others.
We are doing what Jesus wants
John 14:21 – Whoever has my commands and obeys them, he is the one who loves me. He who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love him and show myself to him.”
This verse reassures us that when we are doing what Jesus wants, we are doing what God wants. This should give us great peace and assurance, knowing that we are on the right track. It should also motivate us to obey Jesus’ commands and to love Him with all our hearts.
